Nvidia has partnered up with Activision for its next GeForce game bundle. Yep, you guess it, they’re handing out free copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to anyone who picks up a select GeForce RTX 20 Series graphics card from participating retailers.

The upcoming COD: Modern Warfare is one of a handful of games which actually supports the real-time ray-tracing features of the GeForce RTX series, providing ray-traced shadows for a stab at ultra-realism.

“The stakes have never been higher,” says Nvidia, adding some real high drama to buying a graphics card, above and beyond spending obscene amounts of money.

“Become a lethal Tier One operator with the power of NVIDIA GeForce RTX. The revolutionary RTX platform maximises your performance and visual fidelity on PC with real-time ray tracing and super-powerful AI processing. As you delve into clandestine covert operations that affect the global balance of power or showcase your skills against the toughest enemies in fierce multiplayer battles, GeForce RTX delivers the ultimate PC gaming experience.

Codes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are limited to one per person and are available while stocks last. You’ll need to buy one of the following GPUs to benefit from the deal:

GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GeForce RTX 2080 Super GeForce RTX 2070 Super GeForce RTX 2060 Super GeForce RTX 2080 GeForce RTX 2070 GeForce RTX 2060 GeForce RTX Laptop

All the footage we’ve seen so far of ray-traced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare hasn’t exactly been jaw-dropping, offering up some small improvements to the visuals here and there but hardly blowing us away. Perhaps COD: MW’s single-player campaign is where the ray-tracing can really come into its own.

We’ll withhold our final judgement until we can try it out ourselves of course, which isn’t too far away – the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PC open beta weekend starts this Saturday, September 21st, with access from the 19th for those who pre-order a copy of the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out on October 25th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
